By accessing or using GTA Trades Daily ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Platform Description

GTA Trades Daily is an online publication and directory connecting homeowners with trade contractors in the Greater Toronto Area. We provide editorial content, contractor listings, reviews, and quote-matching services. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform any trade work.

2. Homeowner Terms

When you submit a quote request, your contact information is shared with matched contractors who may contact you. We do not guarantee that any contractor will respond, provide a quote, or perform work. You are responsible for independently verifying a contractor's credentials, licensing, and insurance before hiring.

Reviews must be based on genuine experiences. Fake reviews, reviews for compensation, or defamatory content are prohibited and may be removed.

3. Contractor Terms

Contractors who list on the Platform agree to provide accurate business information including licensing and insurance details. Misrepresentation of credentials, trade qualifications, or service areas may result in listing removal without refund.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Contractors may cancel at any time and retain access through the end of the billing period. No partial refunds are provided for mid-cycle cancellations.

Leads are provided as-is. While we verify lead contact information, we do not guarantee that every lead will result in a job. Refund requests for invalid leads must be submitted within 7 days of lead delivery.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

All content on GTA Trades Daily including articles, data, and design is owned by GTA Trades Daily or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. User-submitted content (reviews, profiles) grants us a non-exclusive license to display and use that content on the Platform.

5. Limitation of Liability

GTA Trades Daily is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of work performed by contractors listed on the Platform. We do not warrant that contractors are licensed or insured, even if their profiles indicate so. Our role is to facilitate connections — we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors. In no event shall our liability exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding a claim.

6. Payments and Billing

Payments are processed through PayPal. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges at the rate specified at signup. Prices may change with 30 days notice. Disputed charges should be directed to billing@gtatradesdaily.com.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, submit fraudulent information, engage in abusive behavior, or fail to pay invoices within 30 days of the due date.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
