Comparing the three main driveway materials on cost, longevity, maintenance, and curb appeal for GTA homes.

Poured Concrete

Standard poured concrete runs $12–$18/sqft installed. Stamped or exposed aggregate adds $4–$8/sqft. A typical two-car driveway (400 sqft) costs $5,000–$10,000. Lifespan: 25–30 years with proper maintenance.

Asphalt

Asphalt is the budget option at $6–$10/sqft installed. The same driveway costs $2,500–$4,000. However, it requires sealing every 2–3 years and has a shorter lifespan of 15–20 years.

Interlocking Pavers

Premium interlocking runs $18–$30/sqft depending on pattern and material. That same driveway: $7,000–$12,000. The advantage is individual pavers can be replaced if damaged, and the look is significantly more upscale.
